PayPal notified Ireland's Department of Enterprise of collective redundancies on 28 August 2026 and confirmed publicly on 31 August 2026 that it will cut 164 jobs in Ireland (about 11.9% of its 1,380 full-time Irish staff) to 'simplify' the organisation. The redundancies are expected to take effect between 7 and 21 October 2026 (TheJournal.ie, 31 August 2026).
