AT&T is restructuring its Košice site and cutting about 250 jobs; according to the trade union uniJA up to 337 positions were reported to the labour office. The positions are formally abolished from 1 Jul 2026, and according to the union affected staff were to receive no new tasks from 14 Apr. The reason is the growing automation of customer service through artificial intelligence and chatbots (Eurofound European Restructuring Monitor, April 2026).
