At Copenhagen Central Station, used by more than 100,000 passengers a day, DSB is starting the rebuild of the concourse hall: it will be split into a travel area and a shopping area, shop space will shrink, the façades will be given a uniform design and the historic architecture will stand out more. The budget is EUR 56 million (DKK 420 million); Artelia is lead designer with AFRY Architects as sub-designer, Aarsleff Rail is main contractor, and the station stays open throughout. Works start, as reported on 13 April 2026, and are due to end in 2028. The date is a placeholder: only the year 2028 is given (LOK Report, 13 Apr 2026).
