Tenaris to acquire Romanian pipe maker Artrom Steel Tubes

Tenaris buys 100% of Artrom Steel Tubes from GLGH Steel for EUR 86m. Artrom has about 450,000 t of steelmaking capacity in Reșița and rolling capacity of up to 200,000 t of seamless pipe in Slatina. EU antitrust clearance and Romanian approvals are required, with closing expected in Q4 2026 (Tenaris, press release, 8 May 2026). Update (13 Oct 2026): The European Commission has cleared the acquisition under the standard procedure without competition concerns; Romanian approvals and completion are still pending (Economica.net, 13 Oct 2026).
