Vossloh acquires Swedish track-tamping firm Nordic Tamping Service

Vossloh took over the Swedish track-tamping service provider Nordic Tamping Service (NTS), based in Borlänge, on 9 January 2026. NTS stabilises track by tamping the ballast bed, mainly in Sweden and Norway; with the purchase the workforce and all machinery pass to Vossloh, which thereby widens its range for Scandinavian rail network operators. The company is absorbed into the Lifecycle Solutions business unit; Vossloh already has about 530 employees in Finland, Norway, Denmark and Sweden, and the report gives no purchase price.
