Fujikura to cut 309 jobs at Dej plant

Japanese supplier Fujikura plans a collective dismissal of 309 staff at its plant in Dej, Transylvania, including 45 indirect production and 16 administrative posts; the layoffs are due to start at the end of October 2026. The company points to lower expected sales in the April 2026 to March 2027 financial year as the plant's main project reaches the end of its life cycle; the site already shed more than 200 jobs in 2025.
