An arbitration ruling of 9 July definitively seals the closure, announced in January 2026, of the Zalando logistics center in Erfurt in September 2026: around 2,100 employees (1,800 permanent staff, 300 temporary workers) are losing their jobs. Zalando is providing €80 mn for the wind-down, €30 mn of which is for the social plan; according to the works council, the company rejected a transfer company.
