Valmet has agreed to buy Tieto's manufacturing execution system business, whose TIPS MES software runs in about 300 pulp and paper mills and generates roughly EUR 32 million in annual revenue. Closing is expected in the second quarter of 2027, and no price is given (Valmet press release, 27.10.2026).
