Atria ends cattle slaughter in Jyväskylä, around 20 jobs affected

Following the end of change negotiations on 22 October 2026, Atria is ending cattle slaughter at its Jyväskylä plant and concentrating it at the Kauhajoki plant; around 20 people are affected and will be offered work at other Finnish sites where possible. The company cites a sharper-than-expected fall in cattle supply and tougher competition, expects annual savings of about €2m, and is modernising Kauhajoki for roughly €16m (Atria, release via Cision, 22 Oct 2026).
