German printing group Euro-Druckservice (EDS) told the 84 employees at its Ghimbav subsidiary on 19 August 2026 that the plant, built in 2008 with a EUR 20 million investment, will close by 31 December 2026, citing rising energy, labour and paper costs versus other European sites (Economedia, 19 Aug 2026).
