Cris-Tim to acquire rival Via Trend and Snack 4U

Cris-Tim, the meat and ready-meals producer listed in Bucharest, signed an agreement with Brainfly Ltd. on 2 October 2026 to buy all of Via Trend Ready Meals, its main competitor in ready meals, and through it Romania's largest sandwich maker Snack 4U. The two companies averaged about RON 143m in revenue and RON 21m EBITDA over 2023–2025 (unaudited estimate), run three plants and bring around 380 staff; Cris-Tim then plans to concentrate output on no more than two sites. The Competition Council and investment screening have already cleared the deal, with completion targeted by the end of November 2026; the announcement gives no price (Financial Intelligence, 2 Oct 2026).
