Romanian antitrust body clears takeover of Engie Building Solutions

Romania's competition authority, the Consiliul Concurenței, cleared the acquisition of building and energy services provider Engie Building Solutions SRL by holding company Specialized Services Holdings SA on 7 August 2026, finding no significant competition concerns. Founded in 2001 and based in Bucharest, the target provides property management as well as energy efficiency and decarbonisation services for industrial, office and retail buildings, and posted 2025 revenue of RON 76m with 183 employees. Specialized Services Holdings is the parent of Grupul BMF, which operates in property management; no transaction value was disclosed. Update (15.10.2026): The transaction was completed on 15.10.2026; BMF Grup, which had more than 5,000 employees and over 15 million m² of managed property before the takeover, is now the owner of the company (Economica.net, 15 Oct 2026).
