Automobile Dacia launched a new voluntary departure scheme through an internal notice on 5 October 2026, linking it to its futuREady strategy, cost pressure and increased automation, robotics and digitalisation; contracts end by mutual agreement. Severance rises with length of service from RON 45,000 net (up to two years) to RON 210,000 net (over 16 years), and RON 240,000 for occupational illness or a workplace accident causing disability. The vehicle plant will also halt production on 9 and 12 October 2026 (almost 3,000 cars) to match output to orders; the report gives no target number of departures (Ziarul Financiar, 5 Oct 2026).
