British asset-hire group Dawsongroup is acquiring Dan Ryan Truck Rental, Ireland's longest-running truck and van rental company. Dan Ryan posted revenue of €23.14m and pre-tax profit of €1.3m in the 15 months to December 2024 and employs 34 people; the brand and management team stay in place. Dawsongroup (2024: £407.4m revenue, £66.2m pre-tax profit) was itself acquired by US investment firm KKR the previous year. The purchase price was not disclosed.
