Hubert to end sparkling-wine output in Sereď, hitting 60 jobs

Sparkling-wine maker Hubert J.E., which marked its 200th anniversary last year, will end production in Sereď by the end of the year; output moves to the BOHEMIA SEKT group's sister plants in Starý Plzenec and Mikulov. Around 60 employees are affected, some of whom are to be offered positions at other group plants; the decision followed an analysis showing capacity in Sereď could not be used economically despite investment.
