Transilvania Investments sells Independența Sibiu and Mecanica Codlea

Listed fund Transilvania Investments Alliance is selling its majority stakes in heavy machinery maker Independența Sibiu (53.3%) and in Mecanica Codlea (81%) to the unaffiliated Transilvania Construcții, as it told the Bucharest stock exchange. The sale follows the exit strategy approved by shareholders in 2025, under which the fund is running down its legacy industrial portfolio and redirecting the money into holdings that are easier to manage. The filing gives no price; the share sale and transfer of ownership depend on conditions precedent, and the fund says it will inform investors once they are met (Economica.net citing the BVB filing, 6 Oct 2026).
