The Danish retail group Salling Group (Bilka, Føtex, Netto) is buying a majority stake in the Aarhus-based online retailer Proshop, which had revenue of almost DKK 4.5bn last year and employs more than 350 people. Group CEO Anders Hagh did not disclose the price but called it a billion-kroner deal and the second-largest acquisition in the group's history after Rimi. Proshop stays a separate brand and founder Poul Thyregod remains managing director (DR, 5 Oct 2026).
