Bratislava extends tram Line 3 to Južné Mesto

Tram line 3 of the Bratislava network was extended on 27 July 2025 by 3.9 km of new double-track line from the previous terminus Jungmannova to Južné Mesto (Janíkov dvor) in Petržalka, adding six new stops and four new bridges over the Chorvátske rameno canal. Construction began in November 2021; the project was financed with more than EUR 86 million (EUR 73 million EU funds, EUR 8.6 million from the state budget). It is considered the largest expansion of Bratislava's tram network since 2015.
