Trains have been running since 3 Oct 2026 over the new crossing structure in Leipzig-Sellerhausen-Stünz, which carries the Anger-Crottendorf – Heiterblick link over the lines to Dresden and Geithain. The column-free truss bridge (superstructure about 850 tonnes) was built after the old structure was demolished from mid-January 2026 and was moved some 100 metres into position by modular transporters on 31 Jul 2026; according to DB InfraGO it is a precondition for reopening Leipzig's eastern freight ring. No cost is given. (LOK Report, based on a Deutsche Bahn release, 3 Oct 2026)
