Faber-Castell is cutting around 130 of its 1,200 German jobs (6,200 employees worldwide). Smaller production lines are being relocated from Stein and Geroldsgrün to Brazil/Peru. Reason: global competition, US tariffs, consumer restraint. Socially responsible via partial early retirement, retirement, and attrition; compulsory redundancies are to be avoided. Implementation by financial year 2026/27.
