- Poland: President signs the AI systems act implementing the EU AI Act and creating the KRiBSI supervisory authority
With the Commission for the Development and Security of Artificial Intelligence (KRiBSI), Poland gains a national AI supervisor able to inspect AI systems, order infringements to stop and withdraw products from the market. Transparency obligations for AI systems apply from 2 August 2026.
President Karol Nawrocki signed the act on 24 July 2026. It transposes the EU AI Act into Polish law and establishes KRiBSI as the competent market surveillance authority. Poland was thus among the later implementers; the transparency obligations take effect on 2 August 2026. Second source: Gazeta Prawna.
