- On 22 Oct 2026 the Sejm passes a bill declaring National Council of the Judiciary recommendations since 2018 ineffective
The Supreme Court's Extraordinary Control Chamber and the extraordinary appeal are abolished; the bill goes to the Senate and a veto by President Nawrocki is expected
The coalition voted in favour, Law and Justice against. The source gives the period concerned partly as 2018 to May 2026, while the justice ministry speaks of 2018 to 2025 (Polskie Radio citing PAP, 23 Oct 2026).
