According to a report of 2 July 2026, AMiT Transportation has agreed to take over 100% of the shares in GERSYS GmbH from the HÜBNER Group (Kassel); no price is disclosed. GERSYS, based in Wolfratshausen near Munich with about 65 employees, specialises in on-board electronics and graphical display systems for rail and special vehicles and will continue as a separate brand under managing director Thorsten Sprenger. For AMiT it is the third acquisition within three years after TopPower (now AMiT Production) and Bustec in Wuppertal, while HÜBNER's Mobility Rail division wants to focus more on products and services beyond cockpit solutions (LOK Report, 2 Jul 2026).
