Merz and Macron announce joint China roadmap

A joint EU roadmap on China's subsidised industry is to be drafted by September; in parallel, German troops will join French nuclear-doctrine exercises for the first time and the joint cloud infrastructure for the FCAS programme continues.

On 17 July, Merz and Macron announced a joint roadmap on trade imbalances with China to be drafted by September — according to Merz, Chinese state support for industry is at least eight times higher than OECD norms.
