The Sejm passes the amendment regulating short-term rentals of flats

Municipalities may designate zones without short-term rentals, and owners' associations and housing cooperatives may ban them; properties with three violations within six months are removed from the register

By 407 votes to 24 with 9 abstentions, the Sejm on 8 October 2026 adopted the amendment on accommodation services drafted by the sport and tourism ministry. Besides municipal ban zones and resolutions by owners' associations (for cooperatives a majority of more than 50% of those entitled to vote), residents gain the right to trigger inspections on safety and public order; after three violations in six months a property is struck off the register for at least a year. The Senate now takes up the law (bankier.pl, 8 Oct 2026).
