Poland adopts PLN 102.4bn civil defence programme for 2027–2031

Poland's Council of Ministers adopted the population protection and civil defence programme for 2027–2031 on 06.10.2026. According to Prime Minister Donald Tusk it secures PLN 102.4bn over five years, about PLN 30bn of which goes to regions and local authorities; the focus is on shelters, equipment and rescue bases for crises such as the threat of war or natural disasters (Chancellery of the Prime Minister, 06.10.2026).
