Four transport authorities (NWL, LNVG, Province of Overijssel, VRR) published a prior information notice on 20 July 2026 for re-tendering the eurobahn lines as the E-Netz Westfalen; the winner must also buy eurobahn KG and its general partner. The network of about 10.8 million train-km, with lines such as RB 50, RB 61 and RE 78, is to run from December 2029 to December 2044, with a first part of the Münsterland S-Bahn from December 2032; the procedure starts in Q4 2026 (LOK Report, 20 Jul 2026).
