DB commissions ETCS system changeover at Frankfurt (Oder) border crossing

In October 2025 DB introduced an automatic changeover of national train protection systems while trains cross the Oder bridge at Frankfurt (Oder)–Rzepin, using 16 Eurobalises. Trains no longer have to stop or restart their on-board systems. Since the timetable change, passenger services between Berlin and Warsaw save five minutes and freight trains up to 15 minutes; the work was completed within a year together with Poland's PKP PLK.
