Planned (planning and implementation contract signed on 20 January 2026)

Announced on 20 January 2026: The Free State of Bavaria and DB have signed a contract covering the planning and construction of an additional regional rail stop at Munich's Poccistrasse, part of the Starke S-Bahn München – Programm 14plus initiative. A 340 m island platform with a step-free underpass from Lindwurmstrasse is to be built at the former Munich Süd station, linking regional trains directly with the U3 and U6 underground lines and relieving interchange points such as Ostbahnhof and Marienplatz. Total costs are about EUR 96 million; because the cost-benefit analysis was very positive, the state has applied for federal funding under the Municipal Transport Financing Act, and the city of Munich is contributing to a second entrance. The date is a placeholder: the article gives only the early 2030s, and the end of 2030 is used. (LOK Report, 20 Jan 2026)
