The 250 km Uelzen–Stendal–Magdeburg–Halle upgrade line (Ostkorridor Nord) will get continuous double-track, electrified expansion over about 70 km, plus block-signal densification, platform/crossing adjustments, and at Stendal junction new 740 m passing loops together with curve improvements toward Magdeburg (speed raised from 60 to 80 km/h). For the Uelzen–Stendal sub-section, continuous double track is targeted for 2028 per Wikipedia; the overall completion year of 2029 from the source list is retained here as the target for the full project (including Stendal–Magdeburg–Halle).
