Cover Genius acquires Berlin insurtech Friendsurance

Cover Genius, an insurtech specialising in embedded insurance, announced on Tuesday 28 July 2026 that it had acquired the Berlin-based bancassurance platform Friendsurance; the report describes the acquisition as completed. Founded in 2010, Friendsurance is regarded as the originator of peer-to-peer insurance and today mainly operates banking-technology and regulatory infrastructure for bancassurance in the German-speaking market.
