Announced on 4 August 2026: for the tunnel and station under the new national airport (Port Polska), talks have begun in the competitive dialogue; four consortia of eleven companies are admitted (Mirbud/Kobylarnia/Torpol, Mostostal Warszawa/NDI/Intercor, PORR/Gülermak, Strabag/TYM-BUD) and are bidding for both lots. The roughly 6 km tunnel, 50 to 160 m wide, and the partly underground station with platform hall (over 1.6 million m³, six platforms in the main section) are to link trains and planes. Signature of the contract is planned for the first quarter of 2027, with building to begin at the turn of the third to the fourth quarter of 2027; opening is planned together with the Warsaw–Łódź line, while the remaining Y sections to Wrocław and Poznań are to follow by the end of 2035. The date is a placeholder: the article gives only the end of 2032. (LOK Report, 4 Aug 2026)
