Henkel is buying Waalwijk-based Dutch coatings specialist Stahl, with about 1,700 employees and roughly €725m of adjusted 2025 sales, for €2.1bn from Stahl Group, majority-owned by Wendel (Henkel, ad hoc release, 4 February 2026; second source: SpecialChem). Update (23 September 2026): the European Commission cleared the deal as case M.12372 (European Commission, Daily News, 23 September 2026). Update (5 October 2026): Henkel has completed the acquisition (Packaging Gateway, 5 October 2026).
