The Sandbank offshore wind farm is located about 90 km off the coast of Schleswig-Holstein in the German North Sea (site area approx. 60 km²) and has an installed capacity of 288 MW from 72 Siemens Gamesa SWT-4.0-130 turbines (4 MW each, 130 m rotor diameter). It is owned/operated by Stadtwerke Muenchen and Vattenfall and became operational in 2017.
