- The state of Schleswig-Holstein, with DB and AKN, presents a package of 13 additional rail projects with a total volume of EUR 900 million
EUR 200 million comes additionally from the federal special fund; upgrades of Neumünster–Bad Oldesloe and Kiel–Preetz, the Flensburg junction, reactivation of Bergedorf–Geesthacht, platform extensions Kiel–Hamburg (EUR 3 million) and the Henstedt-Ulzburg West station are to be delivered sooner.
To make the 1,350 km network more stable, the state has assembled 13 additional projects with DB and AKN, later run under the programme name InfraSpot.SH. The new Lindaunis Schlei bridge is due to be finished around the turn of 2027/2028, the S5 overhead line reaches Ulzburg Süd in 2026 and the section to Probsteierhagen opens in 2026. State secretary Susanne Henckel also calls for a "Sylt clause" that would anchor double-tracking of the Marschbahn between Niebüll and Westerland in DB's work programme. (LOK Report, 24 Feb 2026)
