Railpool merges KTG workshop in Duisburg with Lokservice in Hamburg

The two workshop companies of the Railpool group, KTG in Duisburg and RAILPOOL Lokservice with two sites in Hamburg, have operated as a single company since 1 September 2026, with KTG merged into Lokservice. Railpool says this is meant to simplify cooperation between the sites and create clear structures; know-how, local work and both managing directors remain, with Christoph Engel mainly covering Hamburg and Carsten Janneck Duisburg. The report gives no costs, job numbers or other figures for the merger; Railpool, founded in Munich in 2008, runs six workshops of its own and leases more than 600 electric and hybrid locomotives.
