Arkona wind farm off Rügen with 385 MW is operational

The Arkona wind farm is located in the Baltic Sea about 35 km northeast of Rügen and has an installed capacity of 385 MW from 60 Siemens SWT-6.0-154 turbines (6 MW each). It is operated by RWE on behalf of the joint venture of RWE, Equinor and Energy Infrastructure Partners; the investment volume is cited at approximately EUR 1.2 billion. Turbine installation was completed in 2018, with the official opening in 2019; the farm has been operational since.
