Three new stations were built: Rotes Rathaus, Museumsinsel (which only entered regular service on 9 July 2021), and Unter den Linden (an interchange with the U6 line). Construction costs were last put at up to EUR 525 million; the ground-breaking ceremony was held back in 2010.
