Olavion, a subsidiary of Poland's UNIMOT group, has signed contracts to buy 60% of the Siegburg-based rail company RBP (Rheinische Bahnpersonal- und Verkehrsgesellschaft); completion still depends on customary conditions, and Olavion can withdraw under the contract until 31 January 2026. RBP holds a German licence as a railway undertaking, also offers personnel and training services for rail operators, owns six locomotives, employs about 50 people and has already worked operationally with Olavion for some time; founder Thomas Schön remains managing director, and a shareholders' agreement governs governance. The stake is part of UNIMOT's 2024–2028 growth strategy and strengthens Olavion's presence in German rail freight; the report gives neither a purchase price nor the signing date, so the date of the report is used. (LOK Report, 18 Dec 2025) Update (27.01.2026): Olavion took over the 60% stake in RBP on 27 January 2026 once the contractual conditions, including payment of the initial purchase price, had been met (UNIMOT, current report 1/2026).
