On the logport I site in Duisburg-Rheinhausen, Duisport laid the foundation stone on 9 March 2026 for a new assembly hall of 20,000 m²; Siemens Mobility will be the long-term tenant and plans to assemble rail vehicles there. According to the report the existing rail connection was decisive for the choice of site. Mayor Sören Link and representatives of Duisport, Siemens Mobility Real Estate and Goldbeck attended the ceremony, and a time capsule was buried; the report gives no figures on investment, construction time or new jobs.
