Follow-on development to the Dutch Accell Group's suspension of payments of 5 August 2026 (separate entry dated 5 August 2026): the German group companies Accell Germany GmbH, Winora Staiger GmbH, Ghost-Bikes GmbH and E. Wiener Bike Parts GmbH each filed for self-administered insolvency proceedings at Schweinfurt district court on 5 August 2026; this became public on 7 August 2026. The aim is an investor solution that separates the German business from the international group — operations continue under provisional self-administration and the Winora, Haibike and Ghost brands are to be carried on. Wages and salaries are secured via insolvency benefit until the end of October 2026; the source does not state the number of employees affected.
