Ground was broken on 6 October 2025 for a road bridge with a combined foot and cycle path that will replace the gated L 23 level crossing over the Berlin–Frankfurt (Oder) line, as part of opening up the Freienbrink industrial area. The project costs EUR 11.3 million, shared equally by the federal government, the state and DB InfraGO, and a new L 386 is to link the A 10 with the L 23. The old crossing is to be removed from the end of July 2026, with the L 23 fully closed until reopening, which is planned for December 2026. The date is a placeholder: the article gives only the month, so the end of the month is used. (LOK Report, 8 Oct 2025)
