Chinese travel group Trip.com Group completed the acquisition of a majority stake in e-hoi GmbH (Frankfurt am Main) on 4 Sep 2026, one of Europe's leading online travel agencies and cruise tour operators. Founder and CEO Detlev Schäferjohann remains a shareholder and continues in management; the purchase price was not disclosed (e-hoi blog, 4 Sep 2026).
