On 30 October 2025 DB took over LEAG's recently modernised training workshop in Jänschwalde, part of a cooperation agreed in 2020 between the two groups to support structural change in Lusatia. More than 300 apprentices train there, rising to 310 in 2026 and 350 for the 2027 intake, and they are meant to work at the Cottbus ICE depot among other places. At more than 5,700 m² it is the largest training workshop in the region, and apprentices from other Lusatian firms train there too.
