Audi unit PSW closes Neckarsulm site, cutting 100 jobs

The Neckarsulm site will definitively be closed, and around 100 employees will lose their jobs. In total, up to 30% of PSW's 1,000 jobs were to be cut. Reason: intensified competitive pressure, difficult economic conditions, and a reorganisation of the business divisions by Audi. PSW develops concepts for vehicle construction and is significantly involved in car development at Audi. The headquarters near Ingolstadt will be retained. Months of protests (November 2025, January 2026) were unsuccessful. Employees will receive severance or can transfer to the headquarters.
