Kombiverkehr takes full ownership of Spain's Combiberia

Kombiverkehr KG has taken over Spain's Combiberia S.A. in full (100% of the shares) and is now its sole shareholder; the Frankfurt-based intermodal operator wants a stronger presence in Spain and will bear sole responsibility for the business on the ground. Combiberia, active in intermodal transport since 1992 and linked to Kombiverkehr since 1994, acts as an agent for Spanish forwarders and organises intermodal transport to and from the Iberian Peninsula (Barcelona, Madrid, further terminals). The headquarters stay in Madrid (offices in Irun and Barcelona), Sébastien Eisner from Kombiverkehr's Western Europe sales becomes managing director, and new domestic Spanish train products and new customer groups, such as temperature-controlled transport, are planned.
