DHL to cut 8,000 jobs at Post & Parcel Germany

DHL is cutting 8,000 jobs in the Post & Parcel Germany division, the largest job-cut programme in its home market in decades. Update (15 July 2025): According to DHL executives speaking to the union Verdi, the cut of around 8,000 jobs at Post & Parcel Germany has already been completed, without compulsory layoffs, through non-renewed fixed-term contracts and unfilled retirements. Verdi criticises overloaded delivery and demands a reversal.
