The Amrumbank West offshore wind farm is located in the North Sea about 35 km northwest of Heligoland, within Germany's Exclusive Economic Zone. It comprises 80 Siemens (Gamesa) SWT-3.6-120 turbines with a total installed capacity of 302 MW and is operated by RWE. The wind farm was commissioned in October 2015 at an investment cost of around EUR 1 billion.
