DB Regio fully absorbs its subsidiary Regionalverkehre Start Deutschland

Regionalverkehre Start Deutschland GmbH was fully integrated into DB Regio AG on 1 August 2026, as decided by the DB Regio board at the start of the year, and has since operated under the DB Regio name. The traffic contracts passed to DB Regio and the staff of the regional units were taken over one-to-one into DB Regio's divisions; the aim is more stable and more economical operations, and DB Regio is already backing individual regions with additional train drivers.
