Merkur offshore wind farm off Borkum is operational

The Merkur offshore wind farm is located in the German North Sea about 45 km north of Borkum and has an installed capacity of 396 MW from 66 GE Haliade 150-6MW turbines. The investment volume was around EUR 1.7 billion (including EUR 500 million in equity); the farm became operational in 2018, built by Geosea (Deme Group), with O&M provided by GE Renewable Energy. Current owners include APG Groep (64%) and The Renewables Infrastructure Group (36%).
